If you want to make your home scary, start with the outside. You can create an ominous atmosphere for your trick or treaters and neighbors alike. How do you begin to decorate your yard for Halloween?

Personally, I enjoy starting with a spooky garden flag to greet my tricksters. It’s a great way to start introducing a whole dark theme or generic enough to put anywhere you would like.
As you can see with the above Halloween garden flag there’s a whole array of themes you can cover. You will see flags of some of our pop culture horror favorites, to sinister pumpkins, and maybe some cute black cats. There’s a Halloween garden flag for everyone.
I love the “Dead and Breakfast” flag! I think it is hysterical and perfect for a ghost themed garden.
Sometimes I use garden flags as a way to guide guests to my doorstep so they don’t get lost! Or maybe a way to mislead them…
What are some of your decoration ideas this year? I am debating on doing a spider garden or something more witchy. Hopefully I can find a spider spooky garden flag to go along with my theme!
